History research.
Some individuals in the
database are marked as 'living' or 'unknown' this is usually
where the individual was born less than 100 years ago and no
date of death is known or they are recently deceased, it is to
help protect individuals privacy, the individual may be deceased
but we do not have information on their death, or in some case
the persons surname is unknown.
Some entries are marked
with a * this indicates the information is unconfirmed at this
stage.
Getting started:-
Click on
one of the Tabs above to begin browsing the
database. Exploring the database is pretty straightforward. You
might start with the Surname Tab and select a
surname (click a letter to make selection easier) to explore, or
perhaps selecting somebody you recognise from the
Individuals Tab would be a good start.
If you have
more information on an individual or their family please do get
in touch and pass it on.
At the bottom of each
individuals page is a 4 generation pedigree chart, you can click
any individual on the chart to go directly to their page. In
most cases you can click any name displayed on these pages to go
to that individual. You can click any images shown to see a
larger version, click your browsers back arrow to go back a
page.
This database was created January 2024 replacing
the previous version dated February 2023
